It´s the final countdown

Around 50 people are coming to the wedding for sure. Next Monday 6.6. is the final day to let us know, if you are coming or not. We hope people are active and let us know, so the Bridezilla doesn´t need to get out of her cage and make phone calls or Facebook messages.

I also want to remind all the lovely guests who read this blog, that don´t stress about the clothing. We won´t judge you, the dress code is a guideline to help people not feel over or under dressed. Also to remember is, that we would really love if people use some orange or green with their clothing. It can be a tie, shoes, nail color, hair clip, handbag etc. Also if you don´t want to have anything of the colors, you are not forced, we will let you join the party anyways. It is just for a fun detail.

Talking about bridezillas, I was notified this week, that there is only 5 weeks till Wedding! OMG! The stress is real. We visited the wedding spot again last Tuesday. There had been some changes, but only for the better. So I absolutely love our wedding spot. I will hope others will also like it. Specially the indoors is wonderful (almost makes me wanna wish rain, so people stay indoors, almost…). The stress is kinda ridiculous, since everything important that is needed for us to get married, is taken care of. Just this week we finally got the official papers done, for making sure there is no reason why we couldn´t get married.  Also we have the “priest”, wedding location, food, rings, guests... and my wedding DRESS! Yes, I got my dress home and it is wonderful. I love it. The dressmaker did some changes and they look good. Can´t wait to put it on at the wedding day, and many other days after, since it is not a typical white dress, so It can be used after also!

So why do I feel a Bridezilla shaking the cage inside my mind? I think it is because there came new things to think about when we visited the wedding spot. Seating has to be changed, the getting married part is in a spot where there is no good ramp, road signs need to be done and I have no knowledge of that type of things (and seriously, who needs road signs anymore, since every person in Finland has at least one smartphone?! Even my physiotherapist finally got her first smart phone few weeks ago). Road signs are kinda cute, but something I really hope I get Mr. J and Dad more to think and work on. I am a Lady! At this moment I definitely want to say, it is a man’s job.

Also the closer the time of the actual wedding comes the more important it is to have everything thought out well, the program, the responsibilities to people and what music and when. Hihii.. talking about music, I still don´t know what music to have when entering nor what music we would have when leaving as a husband and wife. There is so much music and there is so many atmospheres to create. I want the intro to be magical and slow and mesmerizing same time as I wish it to be showing off the happiness and joy of getting married with the man I love. Also leaving music should tell a story about us as a couple, but not too serious? But not too silly. Why are decisions always so difficult?

All in all, I think Mr. J will have to soon learn to not take every snappy comment of mine too seriously. He should know by now, that I tend to stress and frustrate way too much. I do hope in these final weeks, I can get more help from him also. I have had this week the feeling of needing to know everything. Everyone is asking from me: how are you planning to seat people? How will these tables go? How will you decorate the outside stairs? What time does this happen? What is the full timetable of the day and when do you need music and sounds? What language is used? Have you really thought this trough?.... Yes, I have thought, but I am not a party planner. I am not a fortune teller who knows what happens how and when. I don´t know always what is best and sometimes what I think is best might not agree with everyone else.
Right now the best help from my readers is to think, if you were invited, have you informed us if you are coming or not and if you have any allergies. We need to know the head count to make a lot more decisions still.
